Short answer
Arizona warehouse storage is usually priced per pallet per month, plus a handling fee for each pallet received and shipped. Dedicated space is priced per square foot per month, and fulfillment adds a per-order pick and pack fee. Your exact cost depends on volume, term, how freight arrives and any special requirements, so the fastest way to a real number is to request quotes with your details.
The main pricing models
1. Per pallet, per month
The most common model for shared warehousing. You pay a monthly rate for each pallet position you occupy. It scales up and down with your inventory, so it is ideal for seasonal or changing volume.
2. Per square foot, per month
Used for dedicated or bulk floor space. You commit to a defined area for a set term. It usually costs less per unit at high volume, but you pay for the space whether it is full or not.
3. Handling (in and out)
Most providers charge a fee to receive each pallet and another to ship it. Container unloading is often priced per container, with floor-loaded cartons costing more than palletized freight.
4. Fulfillment fees
3PL fulfillment adds a per-order fee, a per-item pick fee, packaging and carrier postage. Kitting, labeling and returns are usually priced per unit.
What changes your price
- Volume and term. More pallets and longer commitments earn lower rates.
- Inventory turns. Freight that moves often costs more in handling and less in storage.
- Pallet size and stackability. Oversized, heavy or non-stackable freight takes more space.
- How freight arrives. Floor-loaded containers take more labor than palletized trucks.
- Special requirements. Climate control, food-grade, hazmat or high-value security add cost.
- Location. Newer West Valley buildings and smaller infill sites near central Phoenix price differently.
Hidden costs to ask about
Ask every provider about account setup fees, monthly minimums, labeling, shrink wrap, after-hours appointments, inventory counts, and the cost to leave. A low storage rate with high handling fees can cost more than a higher storage rate with simple handling.
